Inspections and Quality Assurance

Adventure Care believes in high quality service provision and ensures that these are adhered to by all the employees.

Within the home Charlotte Turner is the acting manager and takes the lead role in quality assurance, to ensure that the standards are being met and to work towards them being exceeded. Helen Slater is a qualified social worker and the responsible person for the home. Helen has been responsible for the home since it opened.

Adventure Care has strict child protection policies and ensures that a safe, non-abusive environment for children and staff. To enable this to happen Adventure Care utilises an Aware Culture as described by Ray Wyre. Ensuring staff are operating within the Arena Of Safety by utilising a few specialised methods to help ensure this happens, such as the whistle blowing policy.

As stated Adventure Care is a licensed activities centre (AALA) www.aala.org, so can provide a very wide variety of outdoor education/activities. The stipulations on this licence are adhered to and safety maintained at all times and subject to inspections by the regulatory body.

 

Adventure Care adheres to the codes of practice of the General Social Care Council (www.gscc.org.uk) for employers of care workers and social care workers.
