Adventure Care is able to provide Outreach services to social services, schools, families and Learning disability groups. Adventure Care is a children’s activity based, respite facility. We are able to meet the needs of children and young people who have been identified as in need of a break from their usual home environment, or who may be experiencing a rapidly deterirating situation that requires immedicate attention and action. This could be the result of homelessness, breakdown at home or placement, death of a family member or that they are at risk of harm.

The support we provide:

  • Provide support as a preventative measure in potential family or foster/residentail breakdowns.
  • Intensive 1:1 or 2:1 support, in the outdoors, at home or in school.
  • We provide respite services of varying lengths, young people and carers alike are provided a break from routine.
  • Specialist education support within school for pupils struggling with the tradiditonal educational programme.

Our programmes are designed to give children a chance to succeed. We aim to develop self-esteen, self-confidence, self-respect and respect for others, anger management, life skillsand self-identification. We also aim to improve experiences and attitudes towards learning and education by identifying what motivates the child from the inside, rather than threat of sanction or reward.
