Opportunities Working For Adventure Care

Adventure Care has a mix of friendly, male and female staff who are very experienced, skilled and educated.


Within the team we have three qualified social workers and one more currently close to qualification. The entire staff team have trained in therapeutic crisis intervention and are all working towards a minimum of NVQ level 3, which many have now passed and a number have passed at NVQ level 4. We also have a qualified Art Therapist, two qualified counselors, a qualified teacher/tutor and staff with other degree level education. Finally, many of the staff have outdoor qualifications, which enable us to provide climbing, abseiling, weaseling, biking, caving, gorge walking, mine exploration, hill walking and mountaineering.

Adventure Care is very committed to staff training and development and ensure that the team are gaining new qualifications.


Staff receive full induction training, which includes child protection training and undertake the five day therapeutic crisis intervention certificate.


Staff are provided with courses to ensure they have basic food hygiene and health and safety certificates, along with emergency first aid. Along with this other training such as fire safety is provided. All staff work towards NVQ level 3 or 4 if appropriate. And if staff choose they can achieve outdoor qualifications.

Team meetings are also held, which will involve an area of training and supervisions with staff are undertaken to help provide support and enable staff develop.


Adventure care has a great bunch of staff, which is essential to success, to enable every one to work together to enable growth for the young people.
